On 24 October 2025, the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution issued the Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Amendment Rules, 2025 which clarifies that for medical devices the rules under Medical Devices Rules, 2017 (MDR 2017) will take precedence over the LMPC Rules in respect of labelling and declarations. morulaa.com
