ISO Surveillance
An ISO surveillance audit conducted after one year is a periodic assessment performed to ensure that an organization continues to comply with the requirements of its ISO certification (such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001). Unlike the initial certification audit, the surveillance audit focuses on verifying the ongoing effectiveness of the management system, the implementation of corrective actions, and the organization’s commitment to continual improvement. Auditors typically review selected processes, records, and performance indicators to confirm that standards are being maintained and that improvements are sustained. The outcome helps identify areas of strength and potential improvement, ensuring the organization remains aligned with ISO standards and prepared for future recertification.
